Thames Water is aware of the issue

Motorists and bus passengers are facing disruption today (Wednesday) after a water main burst in Beckenham.

The burst has closed Foxgrove Road in the town, with queuing traffic at the A2015 Southend Road junction.

Temporary traffic lights are in place for Thames Water engineers to carry out emergency repairs.

The 354 bus route is currently being diverted away from the road.

A Thames Water spokesperson said: “We are aware of the leak on Southend Road. We aim to resolve this as quickly as possible.

“We are very sorry for any disruption this may cause and ask motorists to bear with us while we carry out this essential work.”

“Any repairs to the road surface may take longer as we will need to liaise with the relevant local authority.”
