CELEBRITIES donned their whites and bowled the crowds over with their cricket antics during a match for charity.

Bunbury Cricket Club, made up of celebrity members challenged Bromley Cricket Club to a match last Sunday but unfortunately the home team's efforts were no match for the stars' batting and they lost.

Former page three stunner Sam Fox opened the bowling and ex-Arsenal dynamos Paul Davies and Perry Groves helped the challengers bat their way to victory.

Also joining in the fun was actor Colin Salmon (ITV'S Prime Suspect) and for England bowler, Devon Malcolm.

The wet weather didn't dampen spirits and former cricketer Sir David English, captain of Bunbury Cricket Club, said the visitors received a very warm Bromley welcome. He said: "It was a marvellous day and everyone had a great time. We had a very friendly welcome from Bromley Cricket Club and were shown great hospitality.
