Delays of up to 20 minutes were reported

Passengers faced delays during the Friday morning rush hour after a signalling problem at Bickley.

The fault meant Swanley and Orpington trains travelling via Bromley South faced delays of up to 20 minutes.

Trains from Orpington and Swanley heading to London Victoria and Blackfriars were altered or late running because of a backlog of other trains in the area.

The disruption is expected to end by 11.30am.

A spokesperson from Southeastern said: “Please allow extra time for your journey and check for your journey for any short notice alterations.

“Southeastern tickets can be used on London Buses between Swanley / Victoria and London, on London Underground and Thameslink services via reasonable routes.

“Thameslink tickets can be used on Southeastern services between Sevenoaks and London.”
