A police appeal earlier this week following a report of the attempted abduction of a 10-year-old girl in Bromley has been dropped after officers were satisfied there was no crime.

Police said this evening, Friday, March 16, they had established an explanation for the report and there has been no arrest.

On Monday, March 12 they released an efit of a suspect following reports of the attempted abduction at around 9.35am on Monday, March 5.

It was alleged a man tried to persuade a 10-year-old girl to get into his car in Beckenham Lane.
