Nominations for 2017 ‘Sport Bromley’ Coach and Volunteer of the year awards are now open.

The award recognises the work of one coach who has made an outstanding contribution to sport during 2017.

Strong leadership and good quality coaching enables successful and enjoyable participation, and the award hopes to celebrate this.

There are also many in the borough contributing as volunteers within sporting organisations, and the Volunteer of the Year Award acknowledges the often unrecognised work of someone who has made an outstanding voluntary contribution to a sporting organisation.

Anyone nominated must coach or volunteer for an organisation in the borough, in a recognised sport, and anyone with an interest in sport may make a nomination.

Nomination forms are available from Debra Weekes at, 020 8323 1712 or from Linden House, 153/5 Masons Hill.

The closing date is Friday, March 16.

The presentation will take place at the Bromley Sports Forum on April 26.
