Motorcyclist killed in West Wickham collision

A 19-year-old motorcyclist was killed yesterday afternoon when his bike was involved in a collision in West Wickham.

Police officers were called at around 4.50pm to Wickham Court where the rider was pronounced dead by the London Ambulance Service 40 minutes later.

Officers believe the identity of the deceased is known and have informed the next of kin, though they are still waiting for formal identification.

A post-mortem examination is set to take place at The Princess Royal Hospital Mortuary.

The Collision Ivestigation Unit at Catford are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information should call 020 8285 1574.
