A man died in a collision involving three cars and a lorry on the M25 this morning, between junctions four and five.
Kent police were called at around 10.15am to the clockwise carriageway where the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A woman was flown to a London hospital and remains in a serious but stable condition.
The driver of the lorry, a man, has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) officers attended the scene and the carriageway is expected to stay closed until around 5pm this evening.
