The fault has caused delays and diversions

Signalling problems are continuing to cause “major disruption” to a number of Southeastern services heading in and out of Charing Cross, the rail franchise has warned.

Issues were first reported earlier on Wednesday morning, but Southeastern have since announced delays and diversions will continue toward the evening rush hour.

Disruption has been reported on most lines including Bexleyheath, Sidcup and Hayes.

Trains between Dover Priory / Ramsgate and Charing Cross are being diverted to and from Victoria.

Tickets are being accepted on the Underground between Victoria, Charing Cross, Embankment and London Cannon Street, as well as on buses between Lewisham and Hayes.

Network Rail sent engineers to the fault at around 10.30am, and at around midday engineers were still repairing the problem near Bermondsey.

By 2.30pm, all lines had repoened, but delays are expected to last until 4pm at the earliest.
