A new funeral directors opened in Bromley last month and the business was made official by Bromley mayor Councillor Kim Botting.

PL Mulligan Family Funeral Directors is based in Earl Street and opened on Saturday, September 29 to a crowd of supporters keen to welcome the new company to the community.

As a family-owned and run business, PL Mulligan branches already exist in Blackfen, Welling, Bexleyheath and Eltham.

More than 100 people attended the open day and supporters came along to wish branch manager Ann Jones good luck in her new venture.

Ann has worked for 16 years at the Co-operative Funeral care in West Wicham.

The open day was also marked with some charity fundraising, with a raffle of prizes provided by local businesses taking place to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

A total of £300 was raised for the charity.
