A team of fundraisers have managed to raise nearly £5,000 for Kent Cancer Trust after completing a gruelling 100km challenge.

Taking on the Thames Path challenge was Steve Hale and Zoe Gibbons, both of whom work in Orpington, together with a team of co-workers.

A ten-strong team took on the challenge on Sunday, September 11, managing to raise a total of £4,983.

Stewart Pope led the team from Perrys Chartered Accountants.

The CEO said “It was incredibly challenging and there were some very difficult points along the way, but we worked really well as a team.

“It was such an incredible feeling crossing the finish line and completing such a mammoth challenge. 100km is a massive test of stamina and determination, but all of our training paid off and we’re delighted to have raised such a fantastic amount for an amazing charity.”
