An Orpington care home is inviting the local community to its free, informative event on living well with diabetes.

On Tuesday, March 13, from 2-4pm, the Care UK team at Foxbridge House will open its doors on Sevenoaks Road for its free event

Kieron Brennan, specialist from Diabetes UK, will be sharing information and advice on living well with and preventing type two diabetes.

A Q&A session will follow, and visitors will have the opportunity to meet the team and take a tour of the care home.

Manager Carol McCormack said: “At Foxbridge House we strongly believe professional knowledge, insight and shared experiences can make a real difference to the everyday lives of carers.

“Type-two diabetes has become common among older people, so learning how this can be prevented and managed is something that those caring for a loved one can benefit greatly from.”

To book a place at the event, call 01689 769 229 or email theresa.mead@careuk.com.
