Readers of Time Out voted for their favourite sculpture across the capital

Crystal Palace Park’s iconic dinosaur sculptures have come out on top in a London-wide search for the capital’s best sculpture.

Londoners voted for their favourite sculpture in a poll by Time Out, and the 19th-century art pieces ranked well-above the likes of the Royal Artillery Memorial, Nelson’s Column and the iconic Trafalgar Square Lions.

The models were the world’s first dinosaur sculptures when they were created by Benjamin Waterhouse-Hawkins in 1854.
