Appeal after girl, 11, seriously injured following fail to stop collision in Bromley

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a young girl was seriously injured following a fail to stop collision in Abbey Wood.

Officers were called at approximately 6.15pm on Tuesday, September 4 to reports of a collision in Eynsham Drive.

An 11-year-old girl had been in the collision with a silver Skoda Fabia.

The injured child was taken by London’s Air Ambulance to a central London hospital where she remains in a serious condition.

Her next of kin have been informed.

The driver of the Skoda failed to stop at the scene.

The car was found abandoned near to the scene a short time later.

A man was arrested yesterday evening (September 4) on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident. He remains in custody at a police station.
