Former Beckenham water polo club star Sean King, 23, was part of the Great British men’s water polo team that suffered an opening 13-4 defeat to Romania on Sunday.

King, of West Wickham, is part of the British side that were given little chance of qualifying prior to the games after being drawn in what has become known as “the group of death”.

This is the first time since 1956 that a British men’s water polo team have entered an Olympic Games.

Team GB take on Group B rivals Serbia tonight at 6.20pm.
