Everton De Silva, 40, of Woodbine Grove, Penge was sentenced to eight months in jail after pleading guilty to growing cannabis at Croydon Crown Court on July 23.
De Silva had a crop of around 50 plants in his one-bedroom flat. Officers became suspicious by the smell emanating from his home onto the street.
