Endurance rider Megan Lewis who set off from a horse trek from Beijing to London last June to make it here in time for the Olympics is due to visit Chelsfield Equestrian Centre in Church Road on Friday (20)- on the final leg of her 5,000 mile journey.

Centre owner Jan Blumire said: “We are very pleased she has chosen to come here. She is coming with four horses - two British riders and two Chinese riders. We will be sending two horses out to welcome her in and escort her out of the yard.”

The 62-year-old from Wales is raising money for children’s charity Challenge Aid.
