Becky Chantry, who jumped out of a plane at 12,000ft to raise money for The Children’s Trust, has completed her fundraising at a total of £1,027.

Miss Chantry, of Park End, who did the skydive in March made her fundraising contribution to the charity this week and said she was delighted to have helped a worthy cause.

“I’d like to say a huge thanks to everyone who sponsored me. The skydive was terrifying yet absolutely exhilarating.

“I got more and more scared as the plane went higher and suddenly it was all go, and before I had time to think I was out. Free-fall was oddly exhilarating. Once the parachute opened I was able to relax and enjoy the amazing views.”

Registration is now open for the next Kent skydive on October 7, at Headcorn Airfield, Ashford.

To register, visit www.thechildrenstrust.org.uk/skydive.

The Trust is a national charity that provides care for children throughout the UK with complex health needs and rehabilitation for children with a brain injury.
