The eight terminally ill children, who visit the UK in one month stints, travelled from London to Herne Bay in a fleet of decorated black cabs for the annual taxi run.

Local children were also invited along for the first time to enjoy a host of activities, including a party.

Bromley head cadet Zoe Blackman said: “I had a really great day and got so much out of helping the children.

“The best bit was seeing the smile on their face when they saw the sea. They all went in swimming as well even though it was a bit cold.”
