A group of green-fingered young people from Bromley College helped spruce up the gardens at a homeless housing scheme.
Despite the recent rain, the team of 12 worked hard outside for two weeks, tidying up the space and creating new raised vegetable beds, a seating area with shingle and woodchips and a brightened up rockery area with new plants and a fresh coat of paint.
Student Daniel Isaza said: “This is my first time gardening and I’ve really enjoyed it.”
The revamp at Bromley Supported Housing in Sundridge Park was part of the college’s work with the Prince’s Trust charity.
A Bromley man is one of 10 Millwall supporters charged with violent disorder last week, after fights broke out during the FA Cup semi-final against Wigan Athletic at Wembley last month.
