Primary school children have assisted local police in preventing crime by designing posters highlighting the dangers of leaving valuables in vehicles.
The Year 6 pupils from Edgebury Primary School, Belmont Lane, Chislehurst drew colourful designs showing criminals in prison and reminding residents to keep gadgets such as sat-navs out of sight.
The five winning youngsters received a visit to the Metropolitan Police dog training facility and their entries are currently being displayed outside Bromley Police Station, High Street.
Det Con Elain Crossinggum said: “We want people to hang it on the fridge or the back of a door and hopefully it will be that little reminder that makes them take their valuables out of their vehicles.”
A Bromley man is one of 10 Millwall supporters charged with violent disorder last week, after fights broke out during the FA Cup semi-final against Wigan Athletic at Wembley last month.
