They are aiming to make the world’s largest bagatelle board

A group of scouts from Chislehurst are trying to become world record holders as they try and create world’s largest bagatelle board.

The youngsters will be transforming the billiards-inspired game from a table top pastime to a 4x16 feet contraption.

The aim of the game is to fire small metal balls into the highest-scoring pens or holes.

In blown-up version of the game, the scouts, and anyone wishing to try the game, will use golf balls instead.

Chislehurst scout Zoe, 14, said: “We made a smaller board two years ago, but now we want to set the world record for the largest board.

“It will be great if 5th Chislehurst Scouts can become world record holders.”

There currently is no set record for the largest bagatelle board, so the record could be set at the Chislehurst Rotary Summer Fair this Saturday, June 11 at Chislehurst Common.
