Police will be advising how to protect residents’ homes

Residents will be given advice on how to protect their home from burglars over the winter months at an event this weekend.

Bromley Burglary Squad have set up a crime prevention event at Bromley Tennis Centre in Orpington this Sunday.

The event will display wanted offender images and offer residents the chance to speak to det insp Charles Clare from the burglary squad.

Bromley Neighbourhood Watch will also be on hand, while SmartWater presentations will be made along with bicycle marking

Deterrents such as SmartWater or marking bikes so they are on an official police register can put off thieves as it makes stolen goods easily traceable when discovered by officers.

The event will run from 9am to 1pm on Sunday, November 29 at the tennis centre on Avebury Road.

Having a brand new kitchen is something that lots of people want but can only dream of. Sadly keeping up to date and making our living spaces as nice as they can be is a costly and incredibly stressful business. Even a fresh coat of paint makes all the difference but isn’t easy or quick.

Who wouldn’t love the chance to go on a shopping spree. Imagine being able to walk into a shop and choose whatever your heart desires without having to worry about how much it costs.
