Mental health charity Bromley Mind will be opening its new garden next Wednesday.
Bromley Mayor Cllr Michael Turner is due to officially open the St Paul’s Cray facility which serves around 20 people living with dementia each day.
Bromley Mind’s chief executive, Ben Taylor said: “Most of us take it for granted we can go outside when we feel like it, and we know it can make us feel better, both mentally and physically when we do.”
The landscaping and planting of the garden was funded by members of the West Kent Golf Club.
Former club captain Ken Southern said: ‘’The work of Bromley Mind with some of the most vulnerable older adults within Bromley was an inspiration for our club and we wanted to find a way to support their work.”
A Bromley man is one of 10 Millwall supporters charged with violent disorder last week, after fights broke out during the FA Cup semi-final against Wigan Athletic at Wembley last month.
