Beckenham shop worker stabbed during robbery

A man was stabbed in the leg during a jewellery shop robbery in Beckenham High Street this morning.

The 24-year-old staff member at Gold Shop, High Street was taken to Mayday Hospital, London Road, Croydon after the attack which occurred at 10.51am.

His injury was not deemed to be life threatening or life changing.

The suspect stole £500 and an iPhone.

He is described as very dark skinned, aged about 25 and wearing a black t-shirt, dark trousers and an Adidas hoodie.
