Beckenham Junior Choir and Youth Voices are inviting children and young people aged between 6-18 to a free taster session.

The choirs are seeking singers for a new, specially commissioned opera which follows on the success of the 2017 performance ‘One of Our Brothers is a Lion!’.

No audition or experience is necessary, just an enthusiasm for singing and music.

The choirs, directed by John Webber and run by volunteers, have been offering high quality singing and musical opportunities to children for 25 years.

Choir parent Jenny Fraser said: “Experiences such as taking part in an opera are not always easily accessible or affordable, so it’s fantastic that the choirs are able to offer children the chance to take part.

“My family has been part of the choir for over four years and enjoys being part of this friendly, nurturing community.”

The free taster session will take place at 6pm on Wednesday, January 31 at Beckenham Baptist Church.

Having a brand new kitchen is something that lots of people want but can only dream of. Sadly keeping up to date and making our living spaces as nice as they can be is a costly and incredibly stressful business. Even a fresh coat of paint makes all the difference but isn’t easy or quick.

Who wouldn’t love the chance to go on a shopping spree. Imagine being able to walk into a shop and choose whatever your heart desires without having to worry about how much it costs.
