A Bromley footballer who once played for West Ham United has been charged with fraud and money laundering

He faces two charges

A footballer who plays for Bromley FC has been summonsed to court facing two fraud charges.

Blair Turgott, 22, of Ravensmead Road, Bromley was issued with a postal charge notice on Thursday, April 13.

The former West Ham United youth player has been charged with one count of fraud by false representation under the Fraud Act, and one count of converting criminal property (money laundering) under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

The charge notice requires that Turgott present himself at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday, April 28.
