A 91-year-old woman was hospitalised when she was hit by falling fencing from a building site yesterday (Wednesday) morning.
London Ambulance Service were called to the Walters Yard alleyway running between Sainsbury’s and the High Street in Bromley at 2.57pm.
The elderly woman was taken to Princess Royal University Hospital, Croydon Road, Beckenham suffering from injuries to her shoulder, hip, arm and legs.
Her condition is stable and she is due to undergo operations later today (Thursday).
The Health and Safety Executive are now investigating the area that of the incident, which was cordoned off for around 10 hours.
Beckenham MP Bob Stewart has called for a change to the Human Rights Act following the murder of a soldier in Woolwich yesterday, allowing Britain to deport those who vocally denounce the country.
