Harry Kane is hoping to be in the plans of Tottenham's new manager

Harry Kane wants to play his part in north London but a return to Millwall could happen if he is not given the chance

Tottenham youngster Harry Kane is determined to impress a new manager and break into the Spurs first-team next season.

The 18-year-old striker spent the second half of last season on loan at Millwall where he scored nine goals in 27 appearances.

“Harry was a great manager who helped me out a lot, and it was a shame to see him go, but that is football,” Kane said.

“Now I have to impress the new manager who comes in, whomever it is. I just have to keep my head down, keep doing what I have been doing and hopefully I will get my chance.”

If Kane is not wanted by Spurs for next season a return to Millwall could happen and the striker did not rule out turning out for the Lions.

“Millwall is a great club with great fans,” Kane told London24 in April. “If it happens I’ll be delighted but I’ll see what happens.”

Millwall manager Kenny Jackett would like to see Kane ply his trade at The Den again next season.

“He’s a Spurs player. I can’t speak for them,” Jackett said. “I really don’t know.

“The norm is, with the big clubs, is that they start pre-season with everybody in the course of the pre season period and they make the decision after that.

“I’d like to see him back. He’s a good player but a Spurs player. Next season is not something I can comment on.”
