Chris Taylor is pleased with his progress in pre-season
Millwall forward Chris Taylor is pleased with the way he has performed at his new club, despite occasional bouts of homesickness.
The Lions signed the 25-year-old after his contract at Oldham expired.
After a slow start, Taylor scored three goals in the south Londoner’s final two pre-season games against League Two sides, Exeter and Southend.
“I’ve been pretty happy with how I’ve developed here, especially the last two weeks where I’ve been able to score some goals,” he told London24.
Having spent his entire career up to now at hometown club, Oldham, Taylor admitted that he had suffered from homesickness but his new team-mates have helped him through it.
“It’s been tough at times, being miles away from your family, but the boys here have been very helpful,” he explained.
“There’s a lad from Charlton in the area I know well.
“It’s been really helpful having them around.”
