Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has refuted speculation linking him with Crystal Palace’s Nathaniel Clyne.

The 20-year-old is out of contract in the summer and has been linked with a move to Manchester United.

“There are rumours going everywhere,” he told Sky Sports News.

“I saw we bid £2million for Clyne at Crystal Palace, where on earth that has come from?

“We did bid for him 18 months ago but that didn’t happen and there is no truth in that at all.”

Clyne has made 108 league appearances for the Eagles, getting on the scoresheet once.
