Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish believes that Wilfried Zaha and Nathaniel Clyne will not be leaving the club today.

Bolton had made an offer which had been rejected out of hand.

“They made an offer which is not even under consideration. We’re not interested,” Parish told the South London Press.

“We never went public but Bolton did - they are probably trying to appease their fans because of the position they find themselves in the Premier League.

“If I find a £30million house and only want to pay £1m for it then that is not a serious offer.

“People talk themselves into the fact they can get a bargain - that a club has got to sell, the player is unhappy there and that he wants to come to you. The best lies are the ones which are preferable to the truth.

“Bolton are not even in the right area for us to even consider it and even then I would take it to the manager - if he didn’t want him to go then he wouldn’t go.”

The duo have also been linked with moves to Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle.
