Crystal Palace manager Dougie Freedman heaped praise on Wilfried Zaha, who had been linked with a move to the Premier League in January

Crystal Palace boss Dougie Freedman hailed Wilfried Zaha after he scored his sixth goal of the season against Bristol City.
The 19-year-old has been in impressive form in his 35 appearances for the Eagles this season and had been linked with a move to Manchester United, Liverpool, Newcastle and Bolton in January.
“Wilfried Zaha is an exciting young player who works hard at his game,” Freedman said.
“He scored a quality goal, but doesn’t always come up with an end product.
“That will improve as he gains more experience.”
The Eagles manager was delighted with his troops despite throwing away a two goal lead, after Darren Ambrose scored from the spot, as Brett Pitman struck twice in the last 15 minutes.
“I thought the lads were outstanding,” Freedman added. “We were the better side and played some great football to go two goals up.
“It’s not like us to concede as we did in the closing stages, but this is a difficult place to come and I cannot fault the players.
“I thought we looked dangerous all through the game and might have had more goals. The result was a disappointment, but otherwise I couldn’t be happier.”
