Cray Wanderers travel to Hendon in Ryman Premier action this weekend, and boss Ian Jenkins feels the game is vital if his side are to re-establish their play-off credentials, writes Colin Munford.

Their progress has been halted by postponements and draws against Wealdstone and Kingstonian, but Jenkins goes into the game full of confidence.

“Saturday’s game is absolutely vital,” said Jenkins.

“If we get a result we can leapfrog them in the table and get back into the play-offs if results go our way, so I am going into the game pretty confident.

“I have watched them quite a few times along with our scout and they are a very similar side to us and though their pitch isn’t the greatest it will be great if we can come away with the three points.”

The Wands then welcome Tooting & Mitcham to Hayes Lane on Tuesday night in a re-arranged fixture
after the original clash on January 14 was called off 10 minutes before kick-off due to a frozen pitch.
