Charlton were denied victory on their return to the Championship by Birmingham’s Nikola Zigic’s injury time equaliser.

Leon Cort had scrambled the ball past Blues goalkeeper Jack Butland with eight minutes remaining and it looked to be sending the Addicks to victory.

But last season’s play-off semi-finalists were not to take it lying down and Zigic fired home from 12 yards with the last kick of the game.
