Crystal Palace boss Dougie Freedman has revealed his squad is far from being completed.
The Eagles first game of the season is away to Peterborough United this weekend.
Former Hull striker Craig Fagan played for Palace in their 2-1 win at Bromley last night and Freedman was impressed with what he saw.
“I’ve been trying to get Craig for most of the pre-season but he went to Cardiff,” he said.
“He’s able to come down here and play for us and I thought he did well. So we’ll revisit that tomorrow. He’s a free transfer so we thought we’d look at his fitness and see how we go.”
The boss revealed he is also looking to bring in defensive reinforcements.
“If we can get a couple of centre back in. that would tide us over and possibly a striker,” he said.
One of those centre backs will be Andrew Davies and the Eagles boss is hopeful of tying up a loan move with Stoke.
“We’re going to try to do Andrew Davies on a one-month loan to get him up to speed with games and he can have a look at our setup and then can hope for a longer agreement after the month,” Freedman said.
“But initially it’s a month for everybody to have a look at each other.”
