Tango! brings the curtain down on the spring series of lunchtime concerts in the Colyer-Fergusson Hall of the University of Kent in Canterbury.
Tango! takes place on Wednesday March 29 and presents Lydia Cheng (violin), Faith Chan (cello) and Daniel Harding (piano) exploring this sensuous South American ballroom dance.
The set includes Piazzolla’s colourful Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, featuring two university music scholars and the deputy director of Music. The trio promises a simmering programme bursting with passion and swirling drama so if you know how to tango, bring your dancing shoes!
The lunchtime concert, sponsored by Furley Page Solicitors, starts at 1.10pm and admission is free, with a suggested donation of £3.
Peter Hawkes, senior partner of sponsors Furley Page Solicitors said: “We are proud to once again support a series of concerts which showcase some of the finest performers. This season’s programme promises an eclectic mix of wonderful entertainment that the whole community can enjoy.”
