Star of Not the Nine O’Clock News and Smith and Jones returns to the stage

Comedian, producer and presenter Griff Rhys Jones brings his stand-up show to Margate and Tunbridge Wells in March.

Following the success of his first solo tour, Jones and Smith, he will be touring his new show, Where Was I? nationally in 2018.

Jones, one of the stars of Eighties comedy hit Not The Nine O’Clock News, went on to star with Not star Mel Smith in their own long-running TV show.

He and Smith, who died in July 2013, also founded TV production company in 1981. When it was sold in 2003, he pocketed some £20 million.

Since then he has gone on to appear in a range of TV shows and projects, among them the popular Three Men in a Boat series.

Where was I? takes as its starting point some of the star’s personal jaunts from the last 15 years where his work has taken him around the world.

He performs at the Trinity Theatre in Tunbridge Wells on March 9 and then at the Theatre Royal in Margate on March 17.
