An event highlighting what it is like to live in crisis is being held this month in Canterbury.

As part of Kent Refugee Help’s 10th anniversary, the charity will be hosting an AGM and Art Exhibition on Saturday July 15.

The AGM, with a line-up of speakers on Young Refugees in Crisis, will be held at St Paul’s Church, from 11am-2pm.

The exhibition, I Live Here, has been pulled together by artists from Kent, London and Syria, and explores belonging, longing, placement and displacement.

It will take place at Conquest House Gallery from 3pm-6pm.

All proceeds will be donated to Kent Refugee Help or Refugee children in Lebanon.

Behriye Kemal, from Kent Refugee Help, said: “The event explores the way we live affected by the site we remember, forget and dream of, where multiple landscapes may signify home.”

For more information email b.kemal@kent.ac.uk or call 07518626558 or 011227471091.
