First up in the new year- from the writers, producers and directors of Dreamboats and Petticoats- is Save The Last Dance For Me. Following the lives of two sisters on holiday, it travels back to the music and magic of the 1960’s and features classics such as Viva Las Vegas, Sweet for my Sweet and Can’t Get Used to Losing You.

Two more musicals sure to get people out of their seats are Hair –starring Gareth Gates, to be performed in April, and Spamalot – the hit show lovingly ripped off from Monty Python and The Holy Grail, at the beginning of May.

And younger audiences have not been forgotten in the new season’s shows.

Chinese State Circus bring their brand new Yin Yang to Bromley in the February half term and Science Museum Live, in March, will allow the whole family to unleash their inner Einstein.

Based on the book by children’s favourite author Dick King-Smith, The Crowstarver is a gripping and moving story set in a close-knit rural community in the early days of the Second World War. April’s show promises to combine ‘an action-packed and heart-warming story with animal puppets and a stunning live score’.

Meanwhile The English National Ballet present the debut of their My First... series in May when they introduce My First Sleeping Beauty, aimed at making the ballet accessible for children.

But dance fans young and old will enjoy a Moscow City Ballet double bill in January presenting Romeo And Juliet and Swan Lake.

Tickets for the new season are available by calling 08448 717 620 (bkg fee) or online at www.atgtickets.com/bromley (bkg fee).
